First Fieldtrip

On Friday Brailyn's preschool had their very first field trip to the chicken coup on campus. It may not have been very far away, but the kiddies sure loved it! We started off the morning with the typical free play and painting until it was time to walk on over to the chickens. Momma helped with the painting station:)

The kids were able to pet and hold on of the chickens, gather eggs (and a couple of them threw them on the ground!) and feed the chickens.

After the chickens we looked at the goats and horses (which I'm wondering if Brailyn was sort of bored of- just looks like Grandma Shanda's house...)

then we headed over for our picnic lunch. Of course the kids had fun rolling Miss Rochelle down the hill in the tunnel!

For a first field trip, I thought it was great. We love preschool!

My First Race

Momma ran in the St. Patty's Day 8K this weekend, and Brailyn ran in her very first road race, the Kiddie Dash. She had a great time cheering Momma and getting a prize of her very own. Great job Brailyn!

Heading to the start

I Love To Read

I'm definitely not trying to be a proud momma, but I sure love the fact that my little girl LOVES to read as much as she does. Every Tuesday we go to the library for Story Time, usually spending about an hour there reading before and after and coming home with a few new books. Thursdays are spent at Barnes and Noble for their Story/Craft time, again spending time reading new books (although we usually don't come home with books from here $$). Then the other day I found Brailyn in her room, having her very own Story Time with Minnie. She was reading to her the new books from the library and would even do the songs in between (unfortunately I can't get the video to download...) You gotta admit, bookworms are cute!
